“The NorthWest Fishing Team is the best of the best. In the 25 years I have been fishing, nothing compares to this. I recommend this trip to anyone that is looking for something that is not your standard fishing lodge experience.”
“You guys are awesome!
Top drawer!
We will see you again next year, this was a trip of a lifetime! You treated us like family! I mean the good side of the family!”
Steve Tennant grew up in the culture of island life, soaking in three generations of fishing knowledge from his family and the villagers he grew up with. He has fished from north to south throughout the entire archepelago. Now he thrives on sharing a little piece of this paradise with you!
Bringing people together to experience the trip of a lifetime, learn new skills and build confidence to become an angler is what drives Steve to guide.
A family man, with a wife and two kids who share his passion for the great outdoors, together they hike, hunt, fish, cross country ski and play on the farm.
Angling Tips & Tricks

Keep Your Tip Up
You may hear this over and over again from your guide. Basically your fishing rod acts like a shock absorber for the line. This takes a lot of the weight and power of the fish. At the same time it allows you to play the fish to the boat to tire it out quickly. With a good quality rod you can use lighter tackle which will result in more fish because fish can see everything!
“Fishing is in my blood. I love the challenge of the chase and am humbled to be at the mercy of the elements and all the things that we can’t control…the weather, the fish behaviour, the currents. The art of fishing is in how we have to adapt to the environment and all mother nature throws our way.”
